Functional
description of machine
This system is used to obtain the rapid freezing (deep-freezing)
of products arranged on trays.
Machine operation is very simple.
A chain device allows trays to advance automatically,
from the loading area onto a track that runs along the
refrigerated box, and up to the product unloading area.
|
|
At
the end of this track, trays are automatically brought
back to the loading area.
The track runs along a closed circuit; this means that
trays never leave the machine, so there is no need to
move them manually.
The trays move along the following route:
•
loading
• rapid freezing cycle
• unloading
return to loading area
all
is done automatically and without the trays ever leaving
the work cycle. |
Tray
loading and unloading operations may be performed either
manually or by means of suitable automation fittings which
are neither described nor included in this offer.
The advantage to be had from this tray-based machine is
maximum flexibility when dealing with products with differing
heights: you only need to change pitch (the chain is provided
with modular tongues) to obtain a center distance between
trays ranging from 100 mm to multiples thereof.
Thanks to its particular design, the machine is rather limited
in size, considering its per hour production rate.
Two motor speed variators placed outside the refrigeration
box transmit motion to the conveying mechanism, so product
stay-time in the freezing box can be adjusted according
to product freezing time requirements.
Cooling within the insulated box is obtained by spraying
liquid nitrogen through an ad hoc sprinkling circuit.
|
Ventilation
within the box is essential for efficient heat exchange
between cryogenic gas and product. Heat exchange is assured
by intense ventilation within the box, obtained thanks to
axial-flow fans with motors installed outside the box. The
operating temperature within the box may be varied up to
-70°C.
Spent gas is sucked in by an exhauster by means of two hoods
placed over the areas where trays enter and exit, and is
subsequently piped into the customer-installed duct, so
it can be exhausted out of the room.
Cleaning and defrosting at the end of the work cycle are
easy to perform because the box is provided with a door
which gives the operator full access to the inside of the
machine.
The machine is manufactured in accordance with applicable
regulations and is supplied with a certificate of conformity
with European Directive EEC 89/392.
