The
enclosure is not made of modular panels (typical in standard
refrigerating chambers). On the contrary, it consists
of a one piece construction with a stainless sheet steel
double wall with 120 mm thick, self-extinguishing polyurethane
foam insulation.
This type of construction, besides providing unlimited
durability, also prevents any water seepage or filtering
of contaminants through the walls hollow spaces.
The enclosure is provided with manual doors giving full
access to all inner parts of the spiral, making cleaning
operations at the end of the work cycle easy and quick
to perform.
Full access to all evaporator parts is also provided.
The tube bundle of the evaporator is constructed in such
a way as to allow thorough inspection and washing.
Inside the enclosure is a conduit of stainless steel panels
to assure even delivery of cold air on and around the
product at a speed of approx. 3 metres per second.
The conveyor belt is located inside the enclosure and
moves along a circular loop that winds in spiral around
a cylinder.
The conveyor belt system is all stainless steel constructed.
On either side of the conveyor belt, drive chains and
an automatic belt tension adjustment device are provided.
For each individual freezer, belt centre distance, length
and width are defined according to customer’s production
needs and type of product to be frozen.
Conveyor belt speed can be adjusted within a given range,
depending on machine type. Belt speed can be viewed on
a digital display located on the electric control panel.
The
refrigeration unit for product freezing consists of four
screw compressors with separate circuits for independent
operation of each compressor.
The air cooling evaporator consists of a battery with
copper tubes and copper fins, designed to expand FREON
gas directly. Battery construction comprises four independent
circuits, so each circuit has only one refrigerating compressor
feeding it.
The air circuit, which assures heat exchange with the
battery as well as product ventilation during the freezing
process, is made with centrifugal electric fans with the
fan wheels positioned inside the enclosure and motors
positioned on the outside.
The evaporation battery is equipped with armoured resistances
of adequate power for defrosting operations
